A disc of fine engraved rays, hung from a twisted rope chain.

The lines run from a small raised centre out to the rim, close enough together that the surface reads as texture rather than pattern. Against the twist of the chain above it, everything on this piece is working with light rather than sitting still under it.

The name means sun rose. Sunflower heads track the light across the day, which is where the association with optimism comes from and why the motif keeps returning.
