A hoop that has been pressed out of round.

The shape is squared through the sides and softened at the corners, so it holds against the lobe rather than swinging free. The gold is thick and completely smooth, with nothing worked into it at all.

Rounded hoops read familiar. Squaring the outline is enough to make the same weight of metal look considered, and it takes far less than adding texture.
