An open lattice, worked the whole way around.

Strands cross over one another in a repeating basketweave, leaving diamond shaped openings between them. The band is wide, but because so much of it is space rather than metal, it never feels heavy.

Openwork is harder to make than a solid band and it shows. There is a lot of structure holding this shape together, and you can see all of it.

For someone who finds most gold jewellery too smooth and too polished.
